The Procomp Mud Terrain Tire is a moderately aggressive mud tire with some specific design elements that give it an edge over competing tires of a similar design. Their pride is the "Grip Zone" double rim, which consists of interlocking, open, aggressive double hollow lugs and a 90-degree sipe tread. The combination of these elements, while not revolutionary, nevertheless maximizes wet grip and grip on rocky and hard surfaces.
Three alternating hollow lugs on the tread with a large, aggressive open tooth significantly improve traction and self-cleaning. The deep-slotted shoulder grousers extend to the sidewalls for improved protection in mud and rock. Shoulder lugs are pre-drilled to accommodate studs when traveling on snow and ice so that holes are visible on the outer lugs.
Two layers of steel years, located in opposite corners, cover the base of the tread and protect it from punctures as much as possible. Opposite steel straps allow the tread to flex well under reduced pressure, maximizing traction on rocky surfaces, mud and sand.
Sidewall tread compound with Procomp's DualGuard ™ technology contributes to long service life thanks to its cooling effect. On the sidewalls, rubber is sealed for better protection against scratches and cuts.
